Tahiti suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brazilian second division side Mineiro in a warm-up game for the upcoming Confederations Cup.
Sunday’s defeat in Belo Horizonte was the second for the Pacific Ocean islanders in South America, after a 7-0 reverse against Chile’s under-20 side last Tuesday.
The minnows, whose 23-man squad contains 22 amateurs, have been drawn in Group B of the competition against double European champions and current World Cup holders Spain, Africa Cup of Nations winners Nigeria and Copa America holders Uruguay.
